Welcome to WWE Monday Night Raw. There is a recap video of last week’s episode of Raw. Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring. After all of his attacks and after all of his hype, you would think that Samoa Joe would have been ready. When it was time to put up or shut up, Joe was silenced. That is why he is still champion. It isn’t because he is better than Joe, he was fighting for a purpose. He was fighting for Dean Ambrose. Roman says he has a message for everyone. If you mess with any member of the Shield, you mess with all of us. That was last week and it is this week. Jason Jordan interrupts and makes his way to the ring.

Jason says when he watched Roman’s match last week, he got goosebumps. For the first time, he felt like he was part of something meaningful. Roman was right, when you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us. Jason says on behalf of his partner Seth Rollins, you proved that this is your yard. Jason wants to thank Roman. Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. Seth says he appreciates Jason, but he has a lot to learn. Last week, you learned about teamwork. This week, you have to work on your timing. You are stepping on Roman’s moment.

Jason says this is everyone’s moment. Jason says they all had issues with Samoa Joe and Roman took care of it. Jason says they took care of the Bar. They are all champions and they run the show.

Roman says that Jason teams with Seth and Roman says that he is The Guy. Jason says they might not be the Shield, but they are pretty good. They might be the most dominant three man group in WWE. Finn Balor, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson make their way to the stage.

Finn says that Jason is excited to be part of something big, but are you really part of the most dominant three man group in WWE? Finn says he was running with Gallows and Anderson for ten years before you knew that Kurt Angle was your dad. Karl says that they have run with Finn for a long time and you can see it on the WWE Network.

Luke says they knew it was time to stand alone when Finn showed up. They won the tag titles. Finn was the first Universal Champion. Karl says they knew that they would get back together and take over that place. Finn says that day was last Monday. Finn says they are excited too because 2018 is the Year of Balor Club. Jason says he is happy to be part of the Champions’ Club.

Karl asks if that is a cute new version of the Shield. Finn says he does not see the Lunatic Fringe. He sees the Architect and the Big Dog. He sees . . . Luke throws out a NERD. Jason slaps Gallows and Rollins holds Jordan back while Balor and Anderson hold back Gallows.

Kurt Angle makes his way to the stage and he mentions what is on the show tonight, but he just found his main event. Kurt wants to find out who would win a match between these teams so it will be a six man tag match tonight.

Roman Reigns, Jason Jordan, and Seth Rollins stand around in the back and talk as we go to commercial.

The Shield made their way back on Power Rankings after reuniting a few weeks ago. See where they landed in the video above.

Hounds vs The Unicorns! The Shield has made their return in their first pay per view in a very long time. The Shield debuted at Survivor Series five years ago. This match is a dream match of sorts and puts Raw against SmackDown. The Hounds dominated in 2012 – 2013 and since then have held award winning careers as solo competitors. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins have nothing to prove as a team. What they want is to make sure The New Day knows that there is one team that is more dominant and stands tall above the rest… The Shield.

This match showed a lot of strength. Big E knocked Roman down, Roman got back up. Vise versa. The Shield has their work cut out for them. Roman Reigns serves up the legendary Samoan Drop. There is a lot of trash talking between the two teams. New Day takes over, Roman and Seth try to rally Ambrose. Ambrose hits a Missile Drop. Ambrose tags in Rollins. This match will set the tone for the entire show. Reigns tags in, hits Woods with a lariate. Woods kicks out. Roman sets up for a Superman Punch, but Xavier blocks it. Woods gets distracted and Roman hits the Superman Punch. All competitors are in the ring. Rollins and Woods are legal. Ambrose dirty deeds Woods for a two count. The match heads outside. New Day singles Reigns on the outside and takes him out of the match. Roman senses his brothers are in trouble and hits Big E with a SPEAR! Reigns tags in. ALL COMPETITORS ARE IN THE RING AND ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!! Kofi and Reigns are legal. Reigns hits a distracted Kingston with a SPEAR! Roman tags in Rollins and Rollins tags in Ambrose. Reigns climbs to the top rope. WHAT!? TRIPLE POWERBOMB!!! Rollins covers Kingston for the win. Here is more from this world wind of a match, check out WWE.com’s review of this epic match.

Five years after The Shield’s debut, Raw Superstars Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose proved that they’re still the most dominant trio in WWE, defeating SmackDown LIVE’s The New Day in the opening match of Survivor Series 2017.

A sold-out crowd packed inside Houston’s Toyota Center witnessed a dream match that set the visceral tone for the rest of the night’s head-to-head battles for brand supremacy. In the early goings, it was Ambrose — a Superstar more than accustomed to absorbing massive amounts of bodily harm — who sustained the most damage as Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston & Big E isolated The Lunatic Fringe and hit him with two successive Unicorn Stampedes and a massive Big E spear through the ropes and to the floor. However, neither Ambrose nor his Shield brothers would stand down in defense of the red brand.

Faced with an unrelenting trio of foes, The New Day was forced to get even more creative than usual. As Ambrose lay supine on the canvas — once again separated from his then-incapacitated Shield brothers — Kingston climbed to the top rope, Woods hoisted E onto his shoulders, helping The Dreadlocked Dynamo leapfrog over his New Day allies for a punishing splash onto Ambrose. For good measure, Big E leapt onto The Lunatic Fringe himself, crushing Ambrose’s ribs with his 285-pound frame.

When an exhausted Rollins attempted to intervene, E scooped up Rollins and Ambrose, hitting the former Raw Tag Team Champions with a double Midnight Hour that seemed to seal the victory for The New Day and SmackDown LIVE. Enter: The Big Dog.

Returning to the fray after being laid out at ringside, Reigns hit Big E with a thunderous Spear that made landfall on top of the pin attempt, breaking the count. A brawl between both frustrated factions ensued, and a Spear to Kingston led many to believe that The Shield’s signature Triple Powerbomb was on the horizon. Reigns, however, had other ideas, going up to the middle rope instead of getting into his usual position for the move. Ambrose and Rollins got the message, and the reunited Hounds of Justice ended the dream match in nightmarish fashion for Kingston, who suffered an impressive (and impactful) Super Triple Powerbomb. Ambrose scored the pinfall over Kingston, and Raw stood triumphant.

After weeks of sieges and psychological warfare, it was The Shield who scored Raw’s first victory over SmackDown LIVE at Survivor Series. Believe that.

THE PASSING OF THE TORCH! As the WWE Universe still tries to get over the passing of the torch between John Cena & Roman Reigns, The Miz has issues with Roman being called “The Guy” and “The Big Dog”. He invites Reigns onto ‘MizTV’ to get answers. What went down during the interview and will Roman Reigns hold on to the torch that was just bestowed upon him. Check out what happened when “The Big Dog” and the “A-lister” came face to face. Here is a full recap of what happened per WWE.com!

Roman Reigns beat John Cena last night at WWE No Mercy and announced on “Miz TV” that he’s looking for a fight with Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, but The Miz wasn’t interested in talking about that. In fact, Miz quickly turned the focus of their much-hyped interview toward himself, reminding Reigns that Miz was the only one of the two with a title to his name after The Big Dog called him an “idiot” minutes into their sit-down.

Miz didn’t take that kindly, of course, and if the most head-turning of his subsequent insults was a schoolyard boast that The Miztourage could have taken The Shield back in the day, it was his insistence on waving his title in Reigns’ face that came back to haunt him when The Big Dog offered to fight him on the spot.

The Awesome One attempted to back out with an impressive array of excuses (“I have a suit on!”), though Raw General Manager Kurt Angle hit the scene to sanction a match tonight between the two, as well as a tag team match between the rest of The Miztourage and the makeshift squad of Matt Hardy & Jason Jordan.

Could The Miztourage have beaten The Shield? They certainly proved to be the difference maker when Roman Reigns took on The Miz by his lonesome, picking at The Big Dog behind the referee’s back and allowing the Intercontinental Champion to make a profound statement at Reigns’ expense — even if he didn’t necessarily walk away with the win.

In fact, Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel softened Reigns up for The Miz each time The Big Dog pulled into the lead, while Miz himself focused his efforts on Reigns’ banged-up lower back. A double Drive-By took out Dallas & Axel and finally left Miz open to a match-ending Spear, but The Miztourage returned moments later to utterly decimate Reigns with steel chairs and feed him into two Skull-Crushing Finales, the second on top of a chair. Miz kept the assault going for minutes on end, but the final insult came when the three A-listers mocked Reigns with the classic Shield fist bump to conclude a brutal display that, only a few years ago, you would have had to see to believe.

Roman Reigns vs. Jason Jordan

Jason Jordan faced John Cena last week in a losing effort. Reigns rubbed it in Cena’s face that he couldn’t easily put a rookie like Jordan away.

Jordan extends his hand for a shake, but Reigns declines. The bell rings, and they circle the ring before locking up. John Cena is watching backstage. They give a clean break. Reigns gets a waistlock applied, but Jordan quickly gets out and goes for a takedown. Reigns doesn’t go down and instead connects with a pair of right hands. Reigns drives him into the corner twice. Jordan tries to fight back, but Reigns again backs him up with a punch. Reigns starts clubbing him in the corner, but Jordan quickly counters before connecting with a belly-to-belly overhead suplex. Jordan drives some shoulders into Reigns’ midsection before punching away at him. Jordan puts him in the corner and stomps him down. Jordan whips him hard into the corner before whipping him sternum-first into the corner. Jordan charges, but Reigns explodes out of the corner with a clothesline. Reigns gets him in the corner and hits ten clubs before hitting the ropes for a big boot. Reigns goes for a Superman Punch, but Jordan counters into a crossface. Reigns gets to the bottom rope and gets out of the ring.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Jordan fighting up to his feet. Jordan tries to fight back, but Reigns head-butts him down. John Cena is still watching backstage. Reigns whips him hard into the corner before hitting a snap suplex. Reigns applies a chin lock, but Jordan fights up and elbows out. Jordan hits the ropes, but Reigns floors him with a Samoan Drop for a near fall. Reigns then goes back to the chin lock. Jordan eventually fights up and powers Reigns to the corner. Reigns tries to boot him back, but Jordan counters and hits another belly-to-belly overheard suplex. They both take some time to fight up, and Reigns goes for a Samoan Drop, but Jordan slides off and sends him into the corner before hitting a clothesline for a two count.

They get to their feet and trade punches before Jordan hits a pair of forearms and a dropkick for a near fall. Jordan powers him to the corner and goes for a belly-to-belly, but Reigns punches out. Jordan ducks a clothesline and hits a snap back suplex for a two count. Jordan waits for Reigns to get up and hits a running shoulder thrust. Jordan pulls the top of his singlet down before hitting a pair of northern lights suplexes for a near fall. Jordan quickly goes to the crossface, but Reigns gets to the bottom rope to break the hold. Reigns quickly elbows him back and avoids a shoulder thrust. Jordan hits the ring post shoulder-first and falls out of the ring. Reigns goes outside and hits Jordan with a Drive By Dropkick. Reigns gets him in the ring and connects with a Superman Punch. The boos pick up before Reigns connects with a Spear for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Roman Reigns

After the match, Reigns recovers as his music hits and we see Cena backstage watching again. Reigns approaches Jordan in the corner and extends his hand for a shake. They shake and we get another look at Cena backstage. Charly Caruso approaches Cena for comments on the victory. Cena says he has something to say but he’s going to go say it to Reigns’ face. Reigns poses in the corner as we go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

John Cena and Roman Reigns meet in the ring

Roman Reigns is in the ring waiting, and John Cena’s music hits. The crowd “serenades” him by singing, “John Cena sucks” to the theme of his music. Cena gets in the ring and holds up a microphone. Cena says it’s not a nightstick for his tactical pants. Cena is excited about what he’s going to say. Last week, Reigns was upset that rookie almost beat Cena. Now the rookie, Jason Jordan, almost beat “the guy.” Cena tells him to explain, but keep it to one sentence like, “It’s my yard.” Reigns says he was out here having a great match, something Cena knows nothing about. Reigns says he’s had more great matches in two years than Cena has had in his entire career. Cena loves it. Reigns makes it easy for him. Cena does have to stay sharp – he just has to let Reigns talk. Reigns is burying himself. It’s not to say that Reigns isn’t good. Reigns has skill and ability, but he’s got his head so far up his own ass that he’s like a one-man human centipede. Reigns actually thinks he runs this place and is responsible for the crowd. No one has ever cut Reigns down to size. That’s why he’s here. Cena has been accused of spinning things, but he challenges himself to try anything. Reigns thinks he’s already made it, but the second you think that is the beginning of the end. Cena says Reigns will learn what real failure is all about. Cena gets in his face and says week after week he lets Reigns take shot after shot, but he fails and fails. That is not what THE guy does. THE guy steps up, stays sharp, and does his homework, which is something Reigns should have done before he brought his sorry ass out here. If Reigns really is THE guy, he’ll dust himself off, stand up, and show him something at No Mercy. Cena says Reigns doesn’t have it in him. No Mercy will be a cakewalk.

Cena goes to leave, but Reigns tells him to bring his “bitch ass” back in here. Reigns says usually a superstar calls out John Cena to make a name for themselves, but Cena came here to RAW to call him out. Reigns thinks it’s because he’s selling the tickets Cena hasn’t sold in five years. Cena says Reigns isn’t doing his job, but ticket sales are great, revenue is sky high, and WWE can make it without him. WWE doesn’t need Cena. Cena needs WWE because he can’t break into Hollywood. Reigns says if Cena needs help, he knows a guy (meaning his cousin The Rock). Reigns tells Cena to do his big talk, but it means nothing because he can’t back it up. Cena says when people push you over the line, you have to fight fire with fire. Cena says at No Mercy, Reigns can consider it like a drug test – he’s not getting past him! Cena then walks off while the crowd gasps.

Later on we see Roman Reigns backstage watching the John Cena versus Braun Strowman match.

We see Reigns backstage watching again as Braun mocks Cena with the “you can’t see me” gesture. Charly Caruso approaches Reigns for comments on what just happened. Reigns says The Monster didn’t show Cena any mercy but neither will he. Reigns walks off as we go to replays as Braun continues to stand over Cena.

Braun yells at Lesnar.

Braun scoops part of the steel steps and drives them into Joe’s face, then Reigns. Joe takes another steps shot to the face. Braun tosses the steps into the ring. Braun rolls Reigns into the ring. After illegally getting involved in the No Disqualification match between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship last week and helping Owens retain the WWE Universal Title again, RAW kicks off with Chris Jericho as Jericho welcomes everyone to The Highlight Reel. Jericho first introduces his guest and best friend as WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens joins Jericho on The Highlight Reel. After making fun of American Thanksgiving, the champion says that he is “thankful” for being the WWE Universal Champion and he is “thankful” for being the “face” of Monday Night RAW. Owens then says that, last but not least, he is “thankful” for his best friend Chris Jericho.

The best friends then hug before Jericho takes his turn, saying that he is “thankful” for Kevin Owens, he is “thankful” for his scarf, and he is “thankful” for Seth Rollins. Jericho then explains that Rollins proved to him that Seth is the “epitome of a stupid idiot” before saying that Owens beat Rollins “fair and square” last week. Jericho then claims that, last week, it wasn’t Chris Jericho wearing a Sin Cara mask, it was “Sin Cara wearing a Chris Jericho mask”. Owens then says that he had Seth Rollins right where he wanted him last week before the champion says that, after receiving a powerbomb on the ring apron, Seth Rollins is not medically cleared to be on RAW tonight.

This brings out United States Champion Roman Reigns, who makes his way to the ring to confront Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho. Roman tells the best friends that Kevin Owens as the WWE Universal Champion is a “huge joke”. Owens responds by saying that the only “joke” he sees around here is Roman Reigns calling himself “the guy” before Roman says that Owens is just “a guy” who needs a lot of “help”. Reigns explains that Owens needs “help with everything” but Owens argues that he doesn’t “need” Chris Jericho. Roman then says that he disagrees, pointing out that, if it wasn’t for Chris Jericho, Owens would not be the WWE Universal Champion right now.

Jericho then intervenes, clicking his pen as he gets ready to put Roman Reigns on the List of Jericho. However, this is when Kevin Owens would shout at his best friend, telling Jericho to “shut up” before telling Reigns that he can’t talk to him like that. Owens then threatens to powerbomb Roman on the ring apron like he did to Seth Rollins last week and Roman responds by challenging Kevin Owens to a match tonight and, if he wins, then gets a shot at the WWE Universal Title at Roadblock: End of the Line! Owens then accepts the challenge, saying that Reigns is going to be on The Kevin Owens Show before Roman offers a “spoiler alert”, saying that he is going to kick Owens’ “ass” tonight.

Following a confrontation on The Highlight Reel earlier in the night, RAW would see a Champion vs. Champion match as United States Champion Roman Reigns would go one-on-one with WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens in a non-title match with the stipulation that, if Roman Reigns wins, then he will get a shot at the WWE Universal Title at Roadblock: End of the Line in just under three weeks. Before the match begins, Kevin Owens would attack Roman Reigns and this would give Owens the early advantage once the match officially gets underway, sending Reigns into the steel steps on the outside. The United States Champion would repeatedly battle back with both champions trading blows throughout the match.

Later in the match, Kevin Owens would fail to put Roman Reigns away after a super kick before Owens heads to the top rope, but Reigns catches the WWE Universal Champion with a couple of right hands. Owens then fights Reigns on the top rope before Roman blasts Owens with the Superman Punch, knocking Owens out of the ring! Owens manages to pull himself to his feet and Roman sizes Owens up before catching Owens with another Superman Punch. Roman then rolls Owens back into the ring, looking for the Spear, but Owens counters with a kick only for Reigns to power through, blasting Owens with the Spear, pinning the WWE Universal Champion to earn himself a shot at the WWE Universal Title on December 18 at Roadblock: End of the Line!

The champions start off, and they go at it until all the other partners get in, and Rollins and Reigns start to team up against Team Smackdown.  Shane tags in and cleans house, then AJ and Ambrose wind up working together to clear out the ring…but then they turn their attention on each other and start brawling.  Shane McMahon tries to separate them, AJ nails Ambrose from behind, and Strowman comes in and hits a running powerslam to eliminate Ambrose.

Dean Ambrose has been eliminated.

Strowman drags Shane into the ring, and Shane unloads with a flurry of pounches, but Strowman is too big and crushes Shane with a splash in the corner.  AJ tries for a Phenomenal forearm, but Strowman knocks him to the floor, then flattens Orton when he tries to come in.  Bray Wyatt is in and goes face to face with Strowman, and Wyatt tells Strowman to attack Team Raw, and he goozles Jericho, then lets him go and clotheslines Wyatt’s had off.  Strowman knocks Wyatt to the floor with a diving dropkick.  Strowman goes after Wyatt and rams him into the ring apron.  Orton gives Strowman an RKO into the announce table, then helps Wyatt up and they put Strowman on the table and Shane comes off the top rope with an elbowdrop to Strowman that sends them both through the table.  The brawl continues on the floor, and AJ Styles dumps Shane back into the ring, but James Ellsworth holds Strowman’s foot from under the ring to prevent him from getting back in, and Strowman gets counted out.

Braun Strowman is eliminated.

Strowman beats Ellsworth up to the top of the ramp and tosses him off the stage into some production equipment before walking to the back.  Owens is in the ring and working Shane over, does the Shane dance, and covers for 2.  Jericho tags in and dropkicks Shane for 2, he goes for a Lionsault, but Shane gets the knees up and gets a small package on Jericho for 2.  Jericho hits a Codebreaker on Shane, another on Randy Orton, and he covers Shane for 2.  Rollins tags in and puts the boots to Shane, then Jericho tags in and comes off the top with a splash that misses, and Shane tags Styles in.  Styles goes to work on Jericho and hits an over the knee neckbreaker for 2.  Jericho blocks the Styles Clash and goes for the Walls of Jericho, Styles breaks free and gets the Calf Crusher, and Jericho rams AJ’s head into the mat and goes for the Walls again, Styles reverses to a small package, Styles unlaods with a series of strikes, nails Owens on the apron, goes for the Styles Clash, but Owens comes in and nails styles with Jericho’s list and hits him with Jericho’s list.  He gives styles the pop-up powerbomb as the referee calls for the DQ.

Kevin Owens is eliminated.

We’re down to 4-on-3, and Jericho is feverishly trying to put his list back together as Styles tags Orton, who comes in and hits Jericho with the RKO for 3.

Chris Jericho is eliminated.

We’re down to Reigns and Rollins against almost the entire Smackdown team.  Reigns looks at Rollins and says “let’s do this”, and Rollins goes after Orton, but eats a snap powerslam for 2.  Wyatt tags in and unloads on Rollins, and Rollins os caught in the wrong part of town.  Orton superplexes Rollins, and both men make tags and in comes Reigns and Styles, and Reigns is dominant.  Reigns hits a splash mountain for 2, but he comes in for the Superman Punch and Styles hits a Pelle kick.  Shane tags in and opens up on Reigns, and hits a floatover DDT.  Shane dodges a double stomp from Rollins, gives him a spinebuster, then rams Reigns into the ringpost.  Shane goes to the top rope and goes for a Van Terminator, but Reigns hits him with a spear on the way down.  He makes a cover and Shane gets his shoulder up at 2.  The referee checks on Shane and appears to injury default him out.

Shane McMahon is eliminated.

Okay good, Shane couldn’t even do a clean loss after taking that.  Wonderful.  Wyatt hits Reigns with a senton for 2, and now Reigns is the one caught in the wrong corner.  Reigns breaks free and tags Rollins in, and he goes to work on Styles and hits a Blockbuster.  Styles backdrops Rollins to the apron, but Rollins hits an enziguiri and a springboard forearm, then he takes Wyatt out with a dive to the floor, a series of corner charges on AJ, and he goes to the top on AJ, but AJ slips out, nails Rollins and goes to the top, but Rollins hits him with a Pelle kick of his own.  Rollins superplexes Styles, picks him up and goes into a falcon arrow, and Orton breaks it up at 2.  Rollins dumps Orton to the floor, but goes for a dive and Orton nails him.  Reigns saves Rollins from a DDT on the floor, and the former Shield members put the boots to Orton on the floor.  Rollins slaps Reigns on the back, they clear off the announce table, but Styles comes in before they can go for the Shield powerbomb.  Ambrose runs back into the ring and attacks AJ Styles, and a slew of referees try to eject Ambrose, but he goes back after Styles and rams him into the ring steps.  Security finally gets Ambrose out of there, but Reigns and Rollins go after security and let Ambrose free.  Against all odds, the former Shield is working together to fight off security, then they give AJ the triple powerbomb through the announce table.  Rollins dumps Styles back into the ring and covers him for the win.

AJ Styles has been eliminated.

BIG elimination there, and now we’re even with Reigns and Rollins against Orton and Wyatt.  Luke Harper suddenly comes out of nowhere, and he distracts the Shield wihle Wyatt and Orton sneak attack them.  Orton and Reigns go at it on the floor while Wyatt and Rollins fight in the ring.  Harper rams Reigns into the post while Rollins hits a slingblade on Wyatt, then takes Harper out with a dive.  Rollins hits Orton with an enziguiri, superkicks Wyatt, but comes off the top rope right into an RKO from Orton, and Wyatt covers Rollins for 3.

Seth Rollins is eliminated.

Roman is by himself now against Orton and Wyatt, with Harper on the floor.  Reigns Superman punces Orton off the apron and takes Wyatt out to the floor, and he fights both men off and rams Wyatt into the barricade, then hits him with a drive-by.  Reigns spears Harper, comes back into the ring, blocks Sister Abigail, hits Wyatt with a Superman punch, and sets for the spear.  Orton shoves Wyatt out of the way and eats the spear, and Wyatt quickly hits Sister Abigail and covers for 3.
