We are back and Paul Heyman makes his way to the ring and he has Brock’s title belt with him. Paul says he did not seek your irrelevant opinion or your affirmation. Paul says he is here to deliver a message on behalf of his client. He is here to set the record straight. He is here tonight and he gets to lay this title down in this ring because Brock Lesnar allows him to put his hands on that title. After Brock Lesnar successfully defends that Universal title on April 8th at Wrestlemania against Roman Reigns. If Brock chooses to defend that title at SummerSlam, he will come back on television and he will lay this title down next to the UFC title as well.

Last week, Roman Reigns had a lot to say about Brock Lesnar. He criticized Brock’s schedule. Paul asks Roman what was the biggest victory of your career? It was when you beat the Undertaker last year at Wrestlemania. He says that Roman is one of two to beat Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Did anyone complain about the victory meaning something since Undertaker only wrestled once that year. They did not because that is bulls***. The Undertaker is the Undertaker 365 days a year, so props to you. Brock Lesnar is Brock Lesnar 365 days a year. You are not beating Brock Lesnar.

If Roman Reigns does not like what Paul is saying, Roman Reigns can do something about it next week when he brings out Brock Lesnar. Afa Wrestlemania, you can Sika new one because this one belongs to Brock Lesnar.

Last week, Roman Reigns called Brock Lesnar a bitch. Paul says the title belt is Brock’s bitch. She belongs to Brock Lesnar. Roman Reigns, you are eyeballing Brock’s bitch and you can’t have her. Roman Reigns, you want to be Universal Champion because your family’s bloodline runs through this business. When you are Universal Champion, this is your bloodline and this bloodline is yours to keep. You will have to take the title out of Brock’s hot, competitive fingers. Brock has always wanted to be numbers one. That is not a belt, that is not a strap, that is not a prop. This is proof that you are number one. Proof that you are better than everyone else. It is proof to show your children that you are the top of the card. You are the number one on the face of this planet and everywhere in the universe. It is not how bad you want the title, it is how bad the title wants you.

Here is the sacrifice you have to make. On the Saturday night before Wrestlemania and you get a call that you have to go home because something bad happened to your father. You have to defend the title and then you cannot fly home on a red eye because you need to be on Raw. If you are not needed on Smackdown, then you can go home to be with your family. If you want to be Universal Champion, this title needs you more. You are that title and that title is everything you are.

Next week on Raw, his client will be here and you can say whatever you want to his face. You have learned that you don’t want to shoot on the mic with Paul Heyman and you don’t want to shoot in the ring with the current, reigning Undisputed Champion, Brock Lesnar.

Roman Reigns’ music plays and he shows up on the stage. He makes his way to the ring and he gets in Paul’s face.

Roman says this is what he is talking about. He said a lot of things last week. Some were harsh but they were true. He thought Brock would show up, but he sends Paul for his rebuttal. He says that Brock really is a bitch. Roman asks for Brock to show up. They aren’t asking for much. They are asking that their champion shows up for work. They don’t want Brock to just show up, they want him to want to be here.

Roman says if Brock is going to be in Detroit, Roman says he will be there too. He says that Brock can say whatever he wants to his face but he better not be dressed for a promo segment. He better be dressed for a fight.

We go to credits.

We are back and Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring.

Roman looks around and he sees the Wrestlemania sign. Roman says he is a man of his word and he said he would win the Elimination Chamber and he did. When he says he is going to Wrestlemania and he can beat Brock Lesnar, he is telling the truth. The truth is a funny word. He says he doesn’t know why he is covering for this guy. Roman says the truth is that Brock Lesnar is not here tonight. Up until about 30 minutes ago, he thought Brock was going to be here but he didn’t show. Nobody will say this back there, but Roman will say it. Brock is an entitled piece of crap who hides behind his contract.

We are six weeks from Wrestlemania and the Universal Champion is not here. Last night, we were in Las Vegas and Brock was there, but he was not at the Elimination Chamber. He was taking pictures with Dana White. Brock does not respect any of you and he does not respect anyone in the back. Roman says they go all over the world and bust their ass but Brock shows up only when the money is right or the city is right. It does not matter how big the town is, Roman says he will be there because he said he will be there.

Brock and Paul will come out and say they are businessmen, but Roman says he was born in this business. He says he was taught at any early age that there is a fine line between business and respect. Roman says he does not respect Brock Lesnar and he does not fear that bitch.

Roman says he is done speaking and he will go to the back to take his ass chewing like a man because he respects this place.

Most Superstars don’t survive their first trip to Suplex City. Roman Reigns just booked himself a return visit.

The Big Dog prevailed in the first-ever Seven-Man Elimination Chamber Match to punch his ticket to his first one-on-one showdown with Brock Lesnar since his ill-fated WWE Title Match at WrestleMania 31, though this time he’ll challenge for the Universal Championship at The Showcase of the Immortals. Reigns’ carried him past the cream of Raw’s crop. Each of the seven competitors in the historic Men’s Elimination Chamber Match had all the motivation in the world to carry them to WrestleMania, but The Big Dog wanted it just that much more.

The Miz, looking to bring the Intercontinental Championship to the main event of The Show of Shows, entered the Chamber as one of the first entrants due to a loss to John Cena. Despite the handicap, the Intercontinental Champion proved to be the canniest competitor of the bunch. From trying to Too-Sweet Finn Bálor into an alliance (not being one of “The Bbbbbbboys,” he was swiftly denied) to picking whatever bones he could, Miz seemed as though he would manage to outwit his way into The Show of Shows — until he was eliminated first by Braun Strowman via a Running Powerslam.

Elias, who won the right to enter the Chamber last, was buzzed in moments after Miz was tossed and quickly locked himself back into his pod, refusing to emerge until the field had seemingly taken itself out. Looking to drift his way to the biggest performance of his life, Elias sprinted in when his opponents were all depleted and blatantly tried to take advantage of whoever was most vulnerable. It seemed like he, too, might steal one — until he was eliminated second by Braun Strowman.

John Cena, the lion in winter whose uncertain path to WrestleMania had clouded his mind with a must-win mentality, made a point of seeking out Seth Rollins (more on him in a second) and threw himself headlong into the fray. However, he was never quite in the thick of it, and he was eliminated third by Strowman. (In a post-Chamber interview on Raw Talk, he hinted at a “plan” to get to The Show of Shows that involved him crossing some unspoken locker-room lines, though he did not elaborate.)

Bálor, fighting with all his heart to win back the title that he never lost, started the match with Miz and Rollins and ended up stepping directly to Strowman as the field began to thin. Unfortunately, the continuing presence of Reigns and Rollins kept forcing The Extraordinary Man to stop his onslaught short, and one particular digression — a Coup de Grâce to Reigns — left him open to the fourth elimination of the match, once again by Strowman.

Rollins, coming off a record-setting performance on Raw that made him the overwhelming sentimental favorite in the Chamber, truly backed up his desire to become “The Man” again, partially by displaying the ruthlessness that got him there in the first place. Rollins formed a tentative alliance with Reigns that he dissolved the second he got the chance, booting The Big Dog in the face and stepping to Strowman, once again, by himself, though he was the fifth man eliminated by Strowman, yet again by way of Running Powerslam.

As for Strowman, he was the unquestioned MVP of the match as far as eliminations were concerned. Every ousting besides his own was achieved by These Hands, and despite having suffered an array of finishing maneuvers from everybody else in the match, The Monster Among Men seemingly had Reigns right where he wanted him. The exhausted Big Dog ended up using Strowman’s own aggression against him, olé’ing The Gift of Destruction through one of the pods and administering a rapid combination of three Superman Punches and two titanic Spears to finally put down The Monster Among Men.

Unfortunately for Reigns, Braun didn’t stay down. The Big Dog couldn’t even enjoy his victory before Strowman roared back to life, flattening Reigns with a pair of Running Powerslams and a trip through the pod. The attack caused Reigns to be carried backstage, but he had recovered by the time Raw Talk came around to promise closure and redemption come WrestleMania. It’s far from an empty boast: Given Reigns’ skill and how close he came the first time, we know he has the ability to beat Brock Lesnar. The only question that remains is whether he will.

Men’s Elimination Match: Team Raw (Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman) vs Team Smackdown (AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, and Shane McMahon)

The champions start off, and they go at it until all the other partners get in, and Rollins and Reigns start to team up against Team Smackdown.  Shane tags in and cleans house, then AJ and Ambrose wind up working together to clear out the ring…but then they turn their attention on each other and start brawling.  Shane McMahon tries to separate them, AJ nails Ambrose from behind, and Strowman comes in and hits a running powerslam to eliminate Ambrose.

Dean Ambrose has been eliminated.

Strowman drags Shane into the ring, and Shane unloads with a flurry of pounches, but Strowman is too big and crushes Shane with a splash in the corner.  AJ tries for a Phenomenal forearm, but Strowman knocks him to the floor, then flattens Orton when he tries to come in.  Bray Wyatt is in and goes face to face with Strowman, and Wyatt tells Strowman to attack Team Raw, and he goozles Jericho, then lets him go and clotheslines Wyatt’s had off.  Strowman knocks Wyatt to the floor with a diving dropkick.  Strowman goes after Wyatt and rams him into the ring apron.  Orton gives Strowman an RKO into the announce table, then helps Wyatt up and they put Strowman on the table and Shane comes off the top rope with an elbowdrop to Strowman that sends them both through the table.  The brawl continues on the floor, and AJ Styles dumps Shane back into the ring, but James Ellsworth holds Strowman’s foot from under the ring to prevent him from getting back in, and Strowman gets counted out.

Braun Strowman is eliminated.

Strowman beats Ellsworth up to the top of the ramp and tosses him off the stage into some production equipment before walking to the back.  Owens is in the ring and working Shane over, does the Shane dance, and covers for 2.  Jericho tags in and dropkicks Shane for 2, he goes for a Lionsault, but Shane gets the knees up and gets a small package on Jericho for 2.  Jericho hits a Codebreaker on Shane, another on Randy Orton, and he covers Shane for 2.  Rollins tags in and puts the boots to Shane, then Jericho tags in and comes off the top with a splash that misses, and Shane tags Styles in.  Styles goes to work on Jericho and hits an over the knee neckbreaker for 2.  Jericho blocks the Styles Clash and goes for the Walls of Jericho, Styles breaks free and gets the Calf Crusher, and Jericho rams AJ’s head into the mat and goes for the Walls again, Styles reverses to a small package, Styles unlaods with a series of strikes, nails Owens on the apron, goes for the Styles Clash, but Owens comes in and nails styles with Jericho’s list and hits him with Jericho’s list.  He gives styles the pop-up powerbomb as the referee calls for the DQ.

Kevin Owens is eliminated.

We’re down to 4-on-3, and Jericho is feverishly trying to put his list back together as Styles tags Orton, who comes in and hits Jericho with the RKO for 3.

Chris Jericho is eliminated.

We’re down to Reigns and Rollins against almost the entire Smackdown team.  Reigns looks at Rollins and says “let’s do this”, and Rollins goes after Orton, but eats a snap powerslam for 2.  Wyatt tags in and unloads on Rollins, and Rollins os caught in the wrong part of town.  Orton superplexes Rollins, and both men make tags and in comes Reigns and Styles, and Reigns is dominant.  Reigns hits a splash mountain for 2, but he comes in for the Superman Punch and Styles hits a Pelle kick.  Shane tags in and opens up on Reigns, and hits a floatover DDT.  Shane dodges a double stomp from Rollins, gives him a spinebuster, then rams Reigns into the ringpost.  Shane goes to the top rope and goes for a Van Terminator, but Reigns hits him with a spear on the way down.  He makes a cover and Shane gets his shoulder up at 2.  The referee checks on Shane and appears to injury default him out.

Shane McMahon is eliminated.

Okay good, Shane couldn’t even do a clean loss after taking that.  Wonderful.  Wyatt hits Reigns with a senton for 2, and now Reigns is the one caught in the wrong corner.  Reigns breaks free and tags Rollins in, and he goes to work on Styles and hits a Blockbuster.  Styles backdrops Rollins to the apron, but Rollins hits an enziguiri and a springboard forearm, then he takes Wyatt out with a dive to the floor, a series of corner charges on AJ, and he goes to the top on AJ, but AJ slips out, nails Rollins and goes to the top, but Rollins hits him with a Pelle kick of his own.  Rollins superplexes Styles, picks him up and goes into a falcon arrow, and Orton breaks it up at 2.  Rollins dumps Orton to the floor, but goes for a dive and Orton nails him.  Reigns saves Rollins from a DDT on the floor, and the former Shield members put the boots to Orton on the floor.  Rollins slaps Reigns on the back, they clear off the announce table, but Styles comes in before they can go for the Shield powerbomb.  Ambrose runs back into the ring and attacks AJ Styles, and a slew of referees try to eject Ambrose, but he goes back after Styles and rams him into the ring steps.  Security finally gets Ambrose out of there, but Reigns and Rollins go after security and let Ambrose free.  Against all odds, the former Shield is working together to fight off security, then they give AJ the triple powerbomb through the announce table.  Rollins dumps Styles back into the ring and covers him for the win.

AJ Styles has been eliminated.

BIG elimination there, and now we’re even with Reigns and Rollins against Orton and Wyatt.  Luke Harper suddenly comes out of nowhere, and he distracts the Shield wihle Wyatt and Orton sneak attack them.  Orton and Reigns go at it on the floor while Wyatt and Rollins fight in the ring.  Harper rams Reigns into the post while Rollins hits a slingblade on Wyatt, then takes Harper out with a dive.  Rollins hits Orton with an enziguiri, superkicks Wyatt, but comes off the top rope right into an RKO from Orton, and Wyatt covers Rollins for 3.

Seth Rollins is eliminated.

Roman is by himself now against Orton and Wyatt, with Harper on the floor.  Reigns Superman punces Orton off the apron and takes Wyatt out to the floor, and he fights both men off and rams Wyatt into the barricade, then hits him with a drive-by.  Reigns spears Harper, comes back into the ring, blocks Sister Abigail, hits Wyatt with a Superman punch, and sets for the spear.  Orton shoves Wyatt out of the way and eats the spear, and Wyatt quickly hits Sister Abigail and covers for 3.

Winners: Team Smackdown

Survivors: Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton

We begin this week’s show with a look back at the main event of Raw.

We are in Memphis, Tennessee and your announcers are Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton.

Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring and he has something to say.

Roman says . . .

Stephanie McMahon’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring with a purpose.  She tells Roman she knows he wants to carve his path of destruction but she has a show to run.  She says she has been talking with Mick Foley and they have discussed Roman’s situation and . . .

Mick Foley makes his way to the ring.

Mick says he let the show get out of control while Stephanie was in Singapore.  Mick says Rusev and Seth Rollins will be in a match tonight.

Roman wants to know what that means for him.  Three weeks ago, Stephanie’s husband intefered and cost him the title and last week Rusev cost him.

Mick says that Roman will face Rusev on Sunday for the United States Title.

Stephanie guarantees that match will happen.

Roman appreciates Stephanie’s statement.

Mick tells Roman he needs to trust Stephanie.  Mick says that he is offended that Superstars are going behind his back.  Mick talks about the match last week and he wondered how the people boo Roman.  Whether they get along or not, they are part of the Raw family.  They are in a battle for their survival against Smackdown.  When the dust clears, Stephanie will land on her feet because she is a McMahon.  Mick says if things don’t go well, he is back on the couch.  It is time to make things right because all he has is his word as his bond.

Stephanie says she loves the idea of Mick being General Manager.

Mick says that Roman will face Kevin Owens tonight in a rematch.

Kevin Owens’ music plays and he makes his way to the stage.  Kevin wants to know if Foley is serious.  He says this has to be a joke.  He wants to know if Mick is working on new material for his stand up special.  Kevin says he beat Roman twice last week.  He should be preparing for his match against Seth Rollins at Clash of Champions.  He reminds Roman that he is in the main event, not Roman.

Stephanie says what Mick says goes.  She says Kevin will have to fight Roman, but it will be non-title.

Mick says the match will take place inside a steel cage.

Seth Rollins’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring for his match as he walks past Kevin Owens and he gets on the apron as Roman leaves the ring.

Match Number Eight:  Kevin Owens versus Roman Reigns in a Non Title Match in a Steel Cage

Owens tells Reigns he is staying in the cage.  Owens calls for the door but Reigns pulls him back and punches Owens.  Reigns keeps Owens from going through the door and then Owens tries to climb the cage but Reigns stops him and punches Kevin.  Reigns with more punches.  Owens with a kick but Reigns with clotheslines.  Reigns with a flying clothesline.  Reigns with a clothesline into the corner.  Owens sends Reigns into the cage and Owens gets a near fall.

Roman Reigns’ Vignette

We are back and it is time to look at the WWE World Title Match from Roman Reigns’ side.

We see footage of the Shield’s debut.  He says it was an awesome debut and it meant a lot to share it with Seth Rollins.  We see Roman and Seth winning the tag titles.  He was known as the muscle while Seth considered himself to be the architect.  Seth will claim he created anything.  They had their roles and they enjoyed being a team.  Their competitve nature made them friends, until he pulled the trigger.

Roman says he felt betrayed because they were that close.  We see Roman as he stood alone.  We go to Wrestlemania 31 and he says it meant a lot to even be in the main event of Wrestlemania.  It was emotional and pushed him further than anything he had done in his life.  Roman says Seth cashing in the contract and in that moment looking at Rollins taking in the moment as the WWE Champion with the fireworks, he had nothing.  His wife, daughter, and father were there but he felt anger.  Sometimes anger is the best motivator a man can have.

We go to Wrestlemania 32 when he got his moment to walk out of Wrestlemania as the WWE Champion.  He says he won fair and square.  He has defended it. Any time Seth Rollins has left him laying, Seth has attacked him from behind because Seth is afraid of Roman Reigns.  He is better than Seth.  He will not feel fulfilled as champion until he beats Seth.  Roman says he has waited for this for a long time.  It is a big fight feel.  They will be in Vegas and there will be no more running.  Seth will find out why he is THE GUY.  He expects a better Seth Rollins.  After Money in the Bank, he will be THE GUY.

We go to commercial.

Next week on RAW, we’ll see The Ambrose Asylum with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins as guests. The Shield will be in the ring together.

Jojo interviewed Roman Reigns about the main event. She asked whether his relationship with Dean Ambrose would ever be the same again after tonight. He said the WWE wouldn’t be the same after tonight. He said a lot of things would change after tonight. Dean showed up and agreed saying that only one of them is going to be on the road to Wrestlemania. Dean said the other one is going to be watching. Dean said he’s hitchhiked enough and wants to see what life is like in the Fast Lane. Roman said not to book that trip. Dean said he got a great deal on Priceline. Ugh. Awful. No one speaks this way. They agreed Brock was something they were going to have to deal with and then they would deal with each other.

WWE World Heavyweight championship match at Wrestlemania 32: Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns.

Lesnar went right after Ambrose and rammed him into the buckles. Reigns (who was booed upon entering) attacked Brock but ate a German suplex. Ambrose returned but was quickly displaced from the ring. Lesnar nailed another German suplex on Reigns. He was going for a third but Ambrose nailed him with a missile dropkick from behind. Lesnar nailed several shots. Ambrose got behind and went for a German but Brock broke free and sent him sailing with a belly to belly overhead suplex. Very physical early.

Brock went to the floor to go after Roman. Dean went for a dive to the floor but was caught and nailed with a suplex on the floor. It’s all Lesnar so far. Lesnar nailed another German suplex on Reigns. Lesnar nailed another. He picked up Reigns and nailed an F5 but Ambrose broke up the pinfall. Lesnar looked at him as if he was crazy for messing with Brock.

Ambrose slapped him so Lesnar lost it and drilled him with knees and suplexed him across the ring. He began drilling Dean with knees and suplexed him again. Lesnar nailed another one. Dean tried to crawl away but was powered up and suplexed over again. Lesnar went for an F5 but Reigns speared him for a close two count. They shot the sequence in a way that made it seem Roman came out of nowhere to make it a bigger shock. Nice.

Roman nailed the Superman Punch but Lesnar rolled out of the ring from the force of the move. Roman charged across the floor and leapt off the stairs but Lesnar caught him on his shoulders. The best laid plans of mice and men, indeed. He went for a F5 onto the announcer’s table but Ambrose nailed a low blow. Dean ripped apart the announcers’ table and they set up for the old Shield powerbomb through a table. The crowd loved that.

Dean and Ambrose had words and Dean kicked him and threw Roman into the stairs. He tossed Roman into the ring and attacked him and nailed a running bulldog. Ambrose went to the top and nailed a flying elbow for a two count. Roman came back with several rights. Dean fired back with shots of his own. They brawled in the center of the ring. Dean nailed the McGuinnness rebound lariat as Lesnar returned to his senses on the floor.

Roman and Dean both realize Lesnar is stirring so they give up their battle and go back to attacking him, sending him through the barricade. They begin to clear off another announcing table. They do the Shield powerbomb on Brock again. They buried Brock in the remnants of the tables.

Roman then drilled Dean with a right hand, giving him a receipt from earlier. They returned to the ring, only this time Roman was working all over him. Roman used a roll-through into a powerbomb but Dean escaped with a series of elbows. He came off the top but ended up on the wrong end of a Superman Punch. He went for a spear but was kneed in the face. He went for a charge in the corner but Dean moved and Roman hit the ringpost. Ambrose nailed Dirty Deeds and scored a CLOSE two count.

Both men were down and Dean pointed at the Wrestlemania sign. The crowd chanted, “This is awesome.” He went fo Dirty Deeds again but Roman pulled him up for a Samoan Drop. Lesnar hit the ring and nailed a German suplex on Roman, who was holding Dean. Pretty wild stuff.

Roman speared Lesnar but was trapped in the Kimura. Roman fought to his feet and stood up but was still trapped. Ambrose returned with a chair and beat the hell out of Lesnar’s back with it, then turned to Roman and began beating him with the chair as well. He ran Lesnar out of the ring but Roman speared him and scored the pin.

Your winner, Roman Reigns!

A hell of a physical main event with all sorts of great brawling, spots and near falls. This was truly a main event as it was the best thing on the show and the crowd was into everything and everyone involved. Dean Ambrose absolutely took a big step forward with his fearlessness against Lesnar and his willingness to attack his “brother” Roman. The crowd loved him tonight and I hope WWE realizes that.

Triple H came out in his suit wearing the WWE championship belt over his shoulder. They faced off in the ring to close the show.
