We are in Hartford, Connecticut and your announcers are Michael Cole, Byron Saxton, and Jerry Lawler.
Triple H makes his way to the ring and he has something to say.

Hunter welcomes us to Monday Night Raw, but then he says it has been a crazy week. We were supposed to be here on Monday, but there was this wacky, epic, historic snow storm so they told us we had to postpone Raw. Hunter says there is one thing they don’t like to do, is be told what to do.

For the first time he can remember, they did Raw from WWE headquarters.

They told us we could not hit one million subscribers to the WWE Network, but this week, we hit that number. To all of you who have subscribed, he has two words. . . Thank you.

Then they told us we couldn’t do a show in Hartford. That is why he is here to tell the people of Hartford, welcome to Thursday Night Smackdown.

It has been a controversial week coming out of the Royal Rumble on Sunday. The WWE is not the only one with controversy. The Super Bowl is Sunday and there is controversy surrounding the whole thing. The NFL and Roger Goddell has a problem with their balls. Some guys like their balls soft while some like them hard. Tom Brady says that some guys like old balls.

Hunter says the WWE has never had a problem with ‘balls’. Unlike Roger Goddell, who has controversy and does nothing, Hunter says he takes action. On February 22nd, live on the WWE Network, he will deal with a current problem. Hunter says he has a problem with a man called Sting.

Hunter promises at Fastlane he will stand face to face with his problem and he will resolve it.

There is other controversy out of the Royal Rumble. Not with the event, because it was spectacular. That Triple Threat match is one of the greatest matches he ever saw. It is a match where Seth Rollins proved to the world that he is the future of this industry. It was a match where John Cena proved to the world that he is the past. It is a match where Brock Lesnar proved that he is the beast and is still the WWE Champion. That match was not the problem.

The problem was with the Royal Rumble match itself. When that match was over and all was said and done, the building was rumbling and he felt nothing like it in his life. People were going crazy from the back row to the front row. It was electric. The next day it got worse. Everyone was talking about it. It was all over the news.

We see what happened at the end of the Royal Rumble match.

Monday on Raw, he will put an end to the controversy. On Monday night, he will make an announcement that will likely shake the WWE Universe to its core.

Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way through the crowd and into the ring to go face to face with Triple H.

Roman says Hunter talks about controversy but there was no controversy. He won the Royal Rumble match. That means he is going to Wrestlemania.

Hunter says Roman did indeed win that match. Hunter asks Roman if he will win this one.

Big Show makes his way to the ring for the first match of the show.

We go to commercial.

Match Number One: Big Show versus Roman Reigns

They lock up and Reigns punches Show but Show pushes him back. Show backs Reigns into the corner and he punches Reigns and then he Irish whips Reigns but misses a splash into the corner. Reigns tries for a suplex but Show blocks it and he suplexes Reigns. Show with a slam and he punches Reigns in the corner. Show with a hard Irish whip. Reigns punches Show and then Show connects with a shoulder tackle.

Show with a head butt to Reigns. Show with a second head butt. Show with a biel to Reigns. Reigns hits Show in the back of the leg and he punches Show in the corner. Reigns kicks Show. Show punches Reigns in the corner but Reigns clotheslines Show over the top rope to the floor and we go to commercial.

We are back and Reigns is down on the mat holding his knee. Show with a knee bar and we see footage from the commercial break of Reigns clotheslining Show over the top rope again, but Show hit a spear on Reigns.

We return to live action and Show continues to work on Reigns’ leg. Show with an elevated knee bar and ankle lock. Reigns gets to the ropes and then he sends Show over the top rope with a head scissors like move. Reigns with the Juggernaut Broad Jump Drop Kick. Show sends Reigns into the ring and Reigns with a clothesline but Show stays on his feet.

Reigns with another clothesline and Show stays on his feet. Reigns with a third clothesline and Show goes down. Reigns with a Samoan drop. Reigns comes off the apron and hits a cross body onto Show and both men are down. Reigns tries for the Superman punch but Show blocks it and he hits a choke slam but Reigns kicks out at two.

Show goes up top but he takes too long and Reigns hits a Superman punch but Show stays on the ropes. Reigns with a second one and Show stays on the ropes. Reigns with a press slam and he sets for the spear and he hits it and gets the three count.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Last night, the Royal Rumble, and its aftermath stampeded through the internet like a storm. Tonight, a real storm has forced the show to be delayed until Thursday night when we will have a live episode of Smackdown from Hartford. However WWE recapped the Rumble matches of the Triple Threat Match and the 30 man Royal Rumble match. They also did exclusive interviews with Rollins, Reigns, Bryan, and Lesnar.

We will hear from Roman Reigns later tonight as he talks about the reaction to his win on Sunday night.

Lesnar’s Interview (He mentions Roman)

Michael asks Brock about his match against Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania.

Brock says he is happy for Roman. Good for him. He says he hopes Roman is up for the challenge because he is. Brock says he is on a roll, baby. He is a steamroller and you get out of the way of a steamroller.

Paul asks Michael if he has anything else.

Michael asks if Roman can stop Brock. Paul says no.

Paul asks Michael when he is going to talk to Roman. Michael says later tonight and Brock says he might stop by to say hello to him.

Roman Reigns gets ready for his interview as we go to commercial.

Byron Saxton is with Roman Reigns. Byron congratulates Roman and Roman says last night was really incredible. He is asked about the people who say he is not ready to face Brock Lesnar. Roman says everyone is entitled to their opinion. He might not be the best in the locker room, but he has been taught to react. His father, Sika, threw him into the deep end when he was learning to swim. Roman says he fought and clawed to get back to the surface. He learned to swim. He is fine with being thrown in the deep end to swim with the sharks.

Byron asks Roman about the Philadelphia crowd. Did he think he was treated unfairly? Roman says he was hoping for a warmer response, but is life fair? No, life is not fair. Those fans paid their money to go to the show and watch. When you go into the arena, you can boo or cheer whoever you want. As long as he can do his thing, he is happy. Roman says he is not thinking about fair.

Roman is asked about the critics who suggest he is hand picked by the higher ups. Roman says if that is the case, he would have to say thanks for the opportunity. You still have to deliver. He has to lace his boots, go down the stairs, and go into the ring by himself. When you are given the opportunity, you have to take advantage of the situation.

Byron mentions Roman eliminating Kane and Big Show, only to have them attack him, prior to the Rock helping him. When you are getting beaten up by mammoths, who better to have you with your family. He mentions his father, uncle, and family members. That is the blood that pumps through his veins. He was born in this business. He was fed by the WWE. The greatest favor he can do is return the favor. He is looking forward to performing at Wrestlemania in front of his father. He is looking forward to meeting Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania and meeting him tonight.

A face off between Reigns and Lesnar will take place next

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns are together in the same room. Michael thanks them for joining them.

Paul shakes Roman’s hand and congratulates him for winning and he would like to ask the questions to Roman tonight.

Roman says he’s got nothing to hide and Paul says that might be your first mistake.

Paul says he asked Brock about this before, Paul says he has known Roman’s family longer than Roman has known his own family. He took photos of his father and Afa when they were Tag Team Champions. He took Yokozuna’s first promotional photos. He managed Fatu before he was known as Rikishi bring his children Jimmy and Jey to the ring and give each other frog splashes. Everything about your family is like a bird to air or fish to water. He has known Roman when he lived in Pensacola.

Paul says he is proud of Roman’s accomplishments last night. He also knows Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, but Dwayne knows Brock Lesnar.

In 2002, the Rock ruled the roost. Rock was the Undisputed WWE Champion, laying the smack down across the globe. The fantasy was that it would last forever. That lasted until the fantasy ran into the reality. It ran into the Next Big Thing in Brock Lesnar. When Brock got his hands on the Rock, he took the championship from the Rock. You remember their rematch on pay per view . . . you can’t because The Rock never asked for a rematch. One match with Brock Lesnar was all the Rock could handle.

Why doesn’t the Rock tell you what you are up against at Wrestlemania. Your blood doesn’t tell you, not just who you are fighting, but what you are fighting. You are the one . . . to beat the one . . . in twenty-one and one.

Paul’s question is Roman . . . with all due respect, how are you going to handle disappointing your family when you lose to Brock Lesnar because you cannot beat Brock Lesnar. Not today and certainly not at Wrestlemania. How will you handle losing at Wrestlemania.

Roman says with all due respect, he will answer that to Brock Lesnar. Reigns turns to Brock and he looks deep into his eyes and he says he knows who and what he is. Roman says he knows what he signed up for. He does not think Roman knows. He will beat Brock at Wrestlemania and take that title. He knows it and Brock knows it. If he can’t, he will take a piece of Brock with him. He believes that and so should you.

Brock gets up and we have a face to face situation. They shake hands and Brock says unlike him, he doesn’t respect you.

Roman tells Brock he will.

We begin with Hulk Hogan making his way to the ring.

Hogan wants to tell us something. He says Hulkamania is running wild tonight. In case you didn’t know it, Hulkamania is running Smackdown tonight. Hogan says that he has had some great moments on Smackdown. He was posing down in the ring with Daniel Bryan after he won the WWE Title at Wrestlemania. Hogan mentions that he won the tag titles with Edge on Smackdown, and speaking of Edge, he will be hosting Raw with Christian next week.

Seth Rollins interrupts Hulk Hogan and he comes out with Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble.

Seth mentions the Immortal Hulk Hogan. He says Hogan is a champion. He is a Hall of Famer. He is the physical embodiment of Wrestlemania. Seth says he wanted to come out here and shake Hogan’s hand. With all of those accomplishments, they might call him the Seth Rollins of the 80’s.

Seth says that he wanted to tell Hogan from the bottom of his heart, thank you. Hogan is one of the reasons he got into this business. Hogan does not belong in this ring any more. This ring belongs to him. If you don’t mind . . .

Hogan says that he does mind. Unlike the Authority, he has the power and he is running Smackdown, brother.

Seth says that this place has been in the dumps since the Authority has been ousted from power. Seth says you take two of the smartest business people that he knows, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. Two people who have the guts to make the tough decision and who will do what is best for business and replace it with a carnival side show like Hulk Hogan.

Seth says that he realizes that Hogan is a legend, but Hogan has no business in his business. As the undisputed future of the WWE, he tells Hogan that this is his business.

Seth says that if Hogan is going to be the general manager, why not do something worthwhile like telling the entire WWE Universe who is going to lead this company into the future. Why don’t you, tell everyone that the future of the WWE is Seth Rollins. When you are done endorsing him, you can realize it is almost 2015 and you can take your ass out of this ring.

Hogan says that it is starting to feel as if Rollins might not even make it out of this ring. He says that he doesn’t know if Rollins is the future.

Seth says that he is Mr. Money in the Bank and the standard bearer of the WWE.

Hogan says that he can think of a few people who can be the future. How about the guy who beat him at Survivor Series and on Raw last week, Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler comes out and he thanks Hogan for the invite and it is humbling to hear from Hogan that he is the future. Dolph says Seth is right. Seth is the future.

Seth thanks Dolph.

Dolph says that is all Seth talks about. Why doesn’t he leave the ring and the WWE and then not show your face for the next ten years.

Seth says Dolph is not a big picture type of guy. Dolph doesn’t understand that the future is a popularity contest. He should do everyone a favor by curb stomping Dolph’s face into the mat in front of Dolph’s idol. He asks Hogan how does that sound.

Dolph says he has been curb stomped before but he keeps getting back up. He wants to know what Seth wants to do right now . . . brother.

Big Show’s music plays and he comes out and says that he appreciates how Seth is the architect to get things done. However, there are times when you have to use force to get things done. He is going to knock out Hulk Hogan and then as a bonus, he is going to knock out Dolph Ziggler.

Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way through the crowd and to the ring.

Roman tells Big Show not to come through them ropes unless you want to get hit in the mouth again, especially in front of your wife and kids.

Hogan asks the crowd what do they think. What about Seth Rollins and Big Show against Dolph Ziggler and Roman Reigns . . . brother? Since he is running Smackdown, he gives the people what they want. Hogan asks Show and Seth what are they gonna do when Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler run wild on you?

We go to commercial.
