Braun Strowman’s demands for tougher competition have been answered.

The Monster Among Men will square off against three-time WWE Champion Roman Reigns at WWE Fastlane 2017, Raw General Manager Mick Foley announced. Given the two Superstars’ costly interactions of late, you can bet Reigns and Strowman will bring plenty of bad intentions and fire power to their showdown.

First, Strowman interfered during Reigns’ challenge of WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble. Eyeing an opportunity to move into title contention, the juggernaut smashed Reigns through a table with a running powerslam, rendering him easy pickings for Owens. The very next night on Raw, as Strowman took his turn challenging the WWE Universal Champion, Reigns retaliated, knocking Strowman to the floor and tackling him with a brutal Spear.

It’s not often that the 6-foot-3, 265-pound Big Dog finds himself at a severe size disadvantage, but such is the case for any competitor who takes on the barrel-chested Strowman. At 6-foot-8 and nearly 300 pounds, The Monster Among Men more than lives up to his moniker, demolishing most opponents with the ease of someone stepping on a bug.

Yet, Reigns is far from an ordinary opponent; his Superman Punch collapses giants (just not Strowman, yet), and he has proven in the past his ability to weather the storm en route to charting big victories.

At WWE Fastlane, will Strowman pulverize Reigns, as he’s done so many Superstars before him, or will The Big Dig serve as a long-overdue gut check? Watch this heavyweight collision when Raw hosts its next brand-exclusive pay-per-view, WWE Fastlane, live on the award-winning WWE Network Sunday, March 5, at 8 ET/5 PT.

20161121_roadblock_match_owensreigns-8d9d0fe02988851c47c38854d2d8bed3

If this truly is “The Kevin Owens Show,” then the first threat of cancellation has come, because Kevin Owens will defend his WWE Universal Title against U.S. Champion Roman Reigns at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line, live Sunday, Dec. 18, on WWE Network.

Mere hours after retaining his U.S. Title at Hell in a Cell, Reigns inferred that his broad shoulders still had room for another title, and that his eye was set on Owens’ prize in particular. Tensions ran high between the two from then on, with Owens and Chris Jericho going so far as to jointly blame Reigns for Team Raw’s loss to SmackDown LIVE at Survivor Series. The Big Dog responded by questioning Owens’ abilities as a fighting champion, specifically his reliance on Jericho in his title defenses. A riled-up KO accepted Reigns’ offer of a No. 1 Contender’s Match the same night and, with Jericho indisposed, fell to Reigns in one-on-one action to make the title match official for Roadblock: End of the Line.

Will The Prizefighter retain his prize? Or is the Roman Empire’s war chest about to grow by one? Find out at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line, live Sunday, Dec. 18, at 8 ET/5 PT, live on WWE Network.

20161108_match_survivorseries_sd_5on5_2-9194a13e3adc92545a11e17f83797aca

Raw vs. SmackDown LIVE. Only one show can survive.

The friendly competition between Team Red and Team Blue turns physical on Sunday, Nov. 20, when a five-Superstar squadron of Raw’s male Superstars take on a corps of SmackDown LIVE’s competitors in a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Men’s Elimination Match.

After accepting SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan’s challenge to pit the shows’ rosters against each other in traditional Survivor Series format, Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley responded by naming WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, United States Champion Roman Reigns and Chris Jericho to their team. Braun Strowman then won a Battle Royal on Raw to become the fourth member of Team Raw. Seth Rollins was later added as the squad’s final member, thanks to “assurances” made to The Architect by Stephanie McMahon.

SmackDown LIVE named WWE World Champion AJ Styles and his perennial challenger Dean Ambrose, as well as Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton, whom The Eater of Worlds appears to have assimilated into his Family. Baron Corbin had initially been slotted as the fifth man, but after suffering an injury against a returning Kalisto, The Lone Wolf was replaced by none other than Team Blue Commissioner Shane McMahon, making his in-ring return for the first time since WrestleMania 32. Shane-O-Mac also named cult hero James Ellsworth as SmackDown LIVE’s official “mascot” heading into Survivor Series.

Which show will prevail come bell time? Find out when WWE Survivor Series airs live, Sunday, Nov. 20, at 7 ET/4 PT only on WWE Network.

Hell in a Cell, that is — for a U.S. Championship battle with Rusev at WWE Hell in a Cell, Sunday, Oct. 30, live on WWE Network.

The match marks Big Dog’s return to the legendary structure that has both settled rivalries (including his own) and potentially shortened careers (including Shane McMahon’s), and will be Rusev’s first turn inside the towering steel enclosure that has loomed large for the last two decades. And it came about in a surprisingly literal way: After his U.S. Title win against The Super Athlete at Clash of Champions was followed by an indecisive rematch, Lana petitioned Reigns for another title rematch on behalf of The Bulgarian Brute. When Reigns responded with jokes and derision, The Ravishing Russian snapped back, “Go to hell!” — a sentiment Rusev himself echoed in a more physical manner when he laid out The Big Dog moments later.

Once he regained his senses, Reigns agreed to the bout provided it was inside Hell in a Cell, thus sentencing himself and The Super Athlete to a title match inside the massive steel structure where rivalries are settled forever. Which of these high-powered athletes will walk out of Hell in a Cell with their souls intact and championship gold around their waist? Tune in to WWE Hell in a Cell, Sunday, Oct. 30, at 8 ET/5 PT, live on the award-winning WWE Network.

20180913_coc_rusevroman-22f74e746db087b79367d4f288a989ce

After several months of false starts, controversies and straight-up raucous brawls, Roman Reigns will get his chance to tear Rusev’s stranglehold on the United States Championship at Raw’s first exclusive pay-per-view, WWE Clash of Champions.

Some began to wonder if Reigns and Rusev would ever actually arrive at this championship encounter after the tumultuous ride they have been on since the middle of the summer. Wedding celebrations have been ruined, hard-hitting non-title affairs have taken place and blindside attacks have been waged, most notably at SummerSlam when The Big Dog pulverized The Super Athlete before the bell could ring for their scheduled championship match.

However, Rusev returned the favor several weeks later on Raw when he viciously ambushed Reigns, leaving him lying and making a firm statement in the process. All of this led to Raw General Manager Mick Foley finally pitting the two against one another at WWE Clash of Champions and personally promising that no one would stop the two from reaching a decision on Sunday.

Can Rusev crush Reigns’ chances of bringing home America’s most prestigious championship, or will The Big Dog get the ultimate retribution on The Bulgarian Brute while simultaneously adding another accolade to his ever-growing resume?

Find out at WWE Clash of Champions, the first Raw-exclusive pay-per-view of The New Era. Watch live on the award-winning WWE Network this Sunday at 8 ET/5 PT.

20160805_SSlam_MATCH_RusevReigns--058048706d434a31221559a319a598eb

The battle lines have been drawn, and Roman Reigns will be the latest Superstar to step to U.S. Champion Rusev in a fight for the star-spangled championship at SummerSlam, live Sunday, Aug. 21, only on the award-winning WWE Network.

Since regaining the United States Championship, Rusev has resumed his one-man reign of terror as though it never stopped. The Super Athlete has demolished all comers in both championship matches and otherwise, and left a trail of destruction in his wake that has claimed Superstars both big (Mark Henry) and small (Kalisto). Such a run has left the WWE Universe questioning whether anyone can thwart The Bulgarian Brute’s dominance and bring the U.S. Championship back to its homeland.

Reigns, on the other hand, is in win-now mode after a series of unfortunate twists knocked him off his post-WrestleMania perch and landed the WWE World Championship on Dean Ambrose’s SmackDown Live and not Reigns’ own Raw roster. Targeting the self-dubbed “unbeatable” Super Athlete isn’t just a way to get the ex-champion back to his winning ways; it’s a chance to once again establish himself among the Team Red elite. Winning one for America probably doesn’t hurt, either, and Reigns already obtained a mental edge over the champion by humiliating Rusev and his new bride, Lana, during their wedding toast on Raw.

Will Rusev’s U.S. Title honeymoon continue on to the fall? Or will the Samoan Superman play the role of Captain America and strip The Super Athlete of his championship gold? Find out Sunday, Aug. 21, when SummerSlam kicks off live at 7 ET/4 PT, only on the award-winning WWE Network.

20160523_MITB_Match_ReignsRollins--1522def70b96c1abbea271f33a3db693

The stakes have never been higher in Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins’ rollercoaster rivalry. as the former friends-turned-bitter enemies will now battle for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Money in the Bank, live on the award-winning WWE Network on Sunday, June 19.

This epic showdown was made less than 24 hours after The Architect shocked the WWE Universe by returning from a serious knee injury — suffered back on November 2015 — to Pedigree The Big Dog at WWE Extreme Rules. Rollins’ statement was even more powerful when you consider that he made it just moments after Reigns had triumphed over AJ Styles in an absolutely brutal Extreme Rules WWE World Heavyweight Title Match. The picture to close out WWE’s most lawless night of the year said it all, as Rollins stood over his one-time Shield “brother” and held WWE’s most prized possession high above his head.

It’s only fitting that the one-time Mr. Money in the Bank — who successfully cashed in his contract by pinning Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 31 — was granted an opportunity to challenge for WWE’s top prize on the most money night of the year, courtesy of Shane McMahon. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, after all, was never actually beaten in the ring for the title. Instead, Rollins was forced to relinquish the championship after tearing his right ACL, MCL and medial meniscus during a WWE Live Event in Europe.

In Rollins’ absence, Reigns has established himself not only as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but as the overall dominant force in the squared circle. Now, as Rollins and Reigns’ conflict comes full circle, both Superstars will be operating on a whole other level, looking to settle their differences with WWE’s most coveted championship on the line. Will Reigns continue to prove that he truly is “The Guy,” or will Rollins win back what he feels is rightfully his?

Don’t miss this epic showdown on WWE Money in the Bank, live on WWE Network, on Sunday, June 19, at 8 ET/5 PT.

No more count-outs. No more disqualifications. No more restarting the match to prevent a technicality from deciding the result. Just Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and whatever is at their disposal in an Extreme Rules Match at WWE Extreme Rules to decide it all.

That’s a big jump for Reigns and Styles to make considering their first title match at WWE Payback was predicated on Styles having “the match of his life” in order to unseat Reigns’ self-proclaimed status as “the guy” around these parts. But with the introduction of Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson as potential accomplices to an unwitting Styles, it quickly became clear that Reigns’ first title defense of the New Era wasn’t exactly going to be first fall to a finish.

Even so, nobody expected quite how out of hand it was going to get. Things got so messy at WWE Payback that it took several restarts of the match by both Shane and Stephanie McMahon to eventually get to a fall at all, and only when the match had mutated into a No Count-out, No Disqualification contest was Reigns able to seize his win. That’s hardly a decisive victory, though, and it was almost immediately decided among the McMahons that drastic measures would be taken to protect the return bout, so here we are with an Extreme Rules Match to show for it.

match_payback_1920x1080_romanstyles_NEW--ed1534b63a77b7adb6809ab5448c9743

Roman Reigns finally toppled Triple H and The Authority at WrestleMania, but come WWE Payback, The Big Dog will find himself defending his newly won WWE World Heavyweight Championship against an entirely different kind of competitor: AJ Styles.

The Phenomenal One earned the title bout on the April 4 edition of Raw, triumphing in a mesmerizing No. 1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match against Kevin Owens, the returning Cesaro and rival Chris Jericho.

For more than a decade Styles traveled the world, capturing almost every heavyweight title worth its salt, with the exception of one — the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Since debuting in the Royal Rumble Match in January, Styles has more than proven he can hang with WWE’s premier Superstars. At WWE Payback, the calf-crushing, forearm-smashing Phenomenal One will finally receive his first crack at the championship that is indisputably recognized as sports-entertainment’s top crown.

Now that Reigns has seemingly put his problems with The Authority behind him and regained the WWE World Heavyweight Title, there is no telling how far The Big Dog will go to protect his championship gold and status as “the guy.”

Can Reigns’ incredible strength and considerable size advantage, not to mention his debilitating Superman Punch/Spear combination, pave the way to victory? Or will Styles’ experience edge and unparalleled creativity inside the ring net WWE’s celebrated newcomer a monumental victory?

Watch the WWE World Heavyweight Championship clash unfold Sunday, May 1, when WWE Payback airs live on the award-winning WWE Network.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns in a TLC Match

With a precisely timed cash-in at Survivor Series, Sheamus snared the top prize in WWE and ruined Roman Reigns’ crowning moment in one fell swoop. But on Dec. 13, at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion will have to answer to The Big Dog when he defends the title against Reigns in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match.

WWE COO Triple H announced the rematch on the Nov. 23 edition of Raw, one night after The Celtic Warrior Brogue Kicked his way into the history books. Per match rules, the winner on Dec. 13 will be the first Superstar to climb a ladder and retrieve the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, which will hang high above the ring. Tables, ladders and chairs will all be fair game, perfectly legal instruments of destruction to be used by both competitors.

For Reigns, the match represents the latest in a seemingly endless series of obstacles to the WWE World Heavyweight Title. He nearly had the championship won at WrestleMania, only for Seth Rollins to interrupt and cash in his Money in the Bank contract successfully. At Money in the Bank 2015, the all-important contract — the same one ultimately won by Sheamus — seemed within reach, until Bray Wyatt interfered and halted him. Finally, at WWE’s fall classic, the title was his, claimed after Reigns went 4-0 in the championship tournament, only for The Celtic Warrior to emerge and unleash two brutal Brogue Kicks. Will Reigns score payback at WWE TLC?

Sheamus will not let the title go without a fight. The double-tough Irishman, now with the endorsement of The Authority, may be more powerful than ever before. After returning to the WWE mountaintop for the first time in years, The Celtic Warrior will likely go to the extreme to defend his newly won title. Without the element of surprise working in his favor, as it had at Survivor Series, will Sheamus be able to stop The Big Dog?

Perhaps most important of all, which Superstar stands to benefit most from the unique — and ultra-dangerous — Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match stipulation?

Watch the carnage unfold live when WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs takes over the award-winning WWE Network on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 8 ET/5 PT.
