We start off tonight with Dean Ambrose arriving at the arena in a cab and the cab almost drives away with the title belt inside because Dean forgot.

We are in Phoenix, Arizona and your announcers are Michael Cole, John Layfield, and Byron Saxton.

There are lecterns set up on the stage for Raw and Smackdown.

Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring.

We see how Dean spent his Sunday night by winning Money in the Bank and then successfully cashing in on Seth Rollins after Seth won the WWE Title.

Dean says last night was a long night in Las Vegas.  He says he is not talking about the things he does not remember.  There was the security guard and the Cleveland Cavaliers celebration.  He says he might have had his foot run over by a cab.  Then he did this thing where he climbed a fifteen foot ladder to win Money in the Bank.  He might have been bitten by a dog.  He also cashed in on Seth Rollins to become the new WWE Champion.

He says that Seth Rollins had a long night last night.  He was the right guy at the right place at the wrong time.  Dean says he has a lesson of the week.  What goes around comes back around.  He has another lesson.  He says hard work pays off.  Busting your ass and keeping it next to the grindstone pays off and it can pay off big.  Seth called himself the man and Roman called himself The Guy.  Does that make Dean ‘the Dude’?  Dean says you can call him whatever you want but call him champ.

Dean says he has been chasing this for two years and he kept on fighting until he won it.  He says it was worth it because he ain’t having any hard times any more.

Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way onto the stage and makes his way to the ring.

Roman says last night it wasn’t his night.  Last night was your night.  Roman congratulates Dean and says he is happy for him.  Roman asks Dean how good was it to cash in on Seth?

Dean says he would have cashed in on Roman too.

Roman tells the people telling him he cannot wrestle to take a sip of their beer and shut up.  Roman asks Dean if he is a fighting champ.  Roman says he has a rematch and he is coming after Dean.

Seth Rollins comes out and he says that is not how it works.  He worked his ass off for seven months and he achieved his dream last night when he beat Roman fair and square.  Go to the back of the line.  Seth points out that Dean came out and stole his title.

Roman asks Seth if it did not feel good.

Seth says that at least he did it to Roman’s face.  He says he never lost the title and he tells Roman to scurry to the back of the line.

Roman asks Seth if he didn’t lose the title, why is it on Dean’s shoulder.

Seth points out that he said that Dean stole it from him.

Roman says there is an easy way to settle this and he gets in Seth’s face.

He says there is nothing to settle between them because he beat him.

Seth is interrupted by Shane McMahon’s music and he shuffles on the stage.

Shane congratulates Dean on winning both the Money in the Bank ladder match and successfully cashing it in to become WWE Champion.  He says that there is a simple solution to see who faces the champion first.  He says that we should have a match between the two of you.

Seth says they had the match last night.  Seth asks Shane if he consulted with Stephanie about the match.

Shane talks to invisible Stephanie next to him and she says it is a good idea.  He says that Stephanie is not here tonight.  With the draft, we are not going to wait until the pay per view or even Smackdown.  We are doing it tonight and then Shane does more shuffling.

Roman Reigns is in the back and JoJo asks him about the match tonight.

Roman says he is not going out there to prove anything.  He is going to show that he is THE GUY who beats Seth Rollins.

The referee makes the ten count and neither man makes it into the ring in time.

Double Count Out

After the match, Shane McMahon comes out and he is serious so there is no shuffling.  Shane says we need a Number One Contender for Battleground.

Dean Ambrose gets into the ring and he says this is how he will do it.  He will face both men in the same night.

Shane says you can fight both of them on the same night and at the same time.  All three members of the Shield will battle for the Title at Battleground in a Triple Threat Match.

Ambrose gets in Rollins’ face and then Reigns.

Reigns grabs Ambrose and Ambrose kicks him and hits the double underhook DDT.

Rollins stands over Reigns and Ambrose returns to the ring to hit the double underhook DDT on Rollins.

Ambrose Asylum Segment

Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring to host the Ambrose Asylum.

Dean says the Ambrose Asylum is back by popular demand.

They say Wrestlemania only happens once a year so he does not know if he is in a coma since Money in the Bank feels like Wrestlemania.  They have the most loaded Money in the Bank Ladder matches, not because he is in it.  There are two Wrestlemania quality matches and he wants to talk about the one that is two years in the making, Seth Rollins versus Roman Reigns.  Dean asks some rhetorical questions about Money in the Bank, but that is in Las Vegas.

Dean brings out the ‘scum of the Earth’ Seth Rollins.

Then Dean brings out Roman Reigns too.

Dean says this is great and he says this is fun.  He wants to get right down to it and he asks Seth about the knee.

Seth asks if Dean has not watched his special on the WWE Network.  He will take that as a no.  His knee is 100% ready to go.

Dean says that is good to hear.  He asks Seth about his face because . . . it’s killing him.

Dean asks Roman how is the Big Easy treating him and he says pretty good and then the crowd boos him.

He says it was good on Bourbon Street last night.

Dean asks Seth if he is hitting up the 99 cent margaritas.  He calls Seth a sour puss and tells him to stop being a party pooper because no one is trying to come out of a box to attack him.

Seth mentions Wrestlemania a few years ago when they beat the New Age Outlaws and Kane.  Then he mentions the helicopter in London.  He brings up the sushi train in Tokyo.  Seth asks Roman about finding Dean passed out by the dumpster.  He says they had some good times.  The best times he had in this ring were with you guys.  They won titles and travelled the world.  What about the six man tag match against the Wyatt Family or the two matches against Evolution.  They sent Batista packing so he owes them a favor since he is a huge star.

Seth says the best time he every had in a ring with you guys was when he took a chair and put it in your back.  Another big Shield moment was when he stole Roman’s moment and cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to be the first one of the Shield to win the World Title.

Dean asks Roman about the match on Sunday and what can they expect.

Roman says the Big Dog walks in as champ and The Big Dog walks out as champ.

Dean asks Seth about his claim that he is still the champion.

Seth asks if Roman ever beat him for the title.

Dean asks Roman about that.

Roman says if Seth is the rightful champ, why does he have this.

Dean tells Roman he asks the questions.

Seth says Roman has that because his knee gave out because he was carrying this company for the better part of last year.  While he was gone, Roman earned it because he beat you.  Then he beat Sheamus and then he beat the Game at Wrestlemania.  You earned it, but one thing you haven’t done is beat him.  He says that Roman cannot beat him because he is better than Roman.  He is two steps ahead of Roman every step of the way.  They are a lot alike, but there is one big difference.  You could not have won that without him.  If he did not hold Roman’s hand, he never would have done it.  If he was not injured, Roman never would have won the title.  Seth says he will do it on his own and he will win back the title on his own at Money in the Bank.

Dean asks Seth if he will have anyone there to help him.

Roman says Seth took his Wrestlemania moment on his own.  He broke up the Shield on his own.  Seth destroyed a family.  They were the only ones who had his back.  Roman says that Seth wants to be the man.  You will have the spotlight because you will be on your own.  They will call him THE GUY after Money in the Bank, not because he is champ, but because he beat Seth.

Dean asks what happens if he wins Money in the Bank?  What if he cashes in that same night and walks out WWE Champion?

Seth pushes Dean into Reigns and Roman falls to the floor.  Dean takes down Seth and Roman attacks Seth.  Seth sets for a Pedigree but Reigns with a Superman Punch and then Dean with a double underhook DDT to Reigns.

Roman Reigns’ Vignette

We are back and it is time to look at the WWE World Title Match from Roman Reigns’ side.

We see footage of the Shield’s debut.  He says it was an awesome debut and it meant a lot to share it with Seth Rollins.  We see Roman and Seth winning the tag titles.  He was known as the muscle while Seth considered himself to be the architect.  Seth will claim he created anything.  They had their roles and they enjoyed being a team.  Their competitve nature made them friends, until he pulled the trigger.

Roman says he felt betrayed because they were that close.  We see Roman as he stood alone.  We go to Wrestlemania 31 and he says it meant a lot to even be in the main event of Wrestlemania.  It was emotional and pushed him further than anything he had done in his life.  Roman says Seth cashing in the contract and in that moment looking at Rollins taking in the moment as the WWE Champion with the fireworks, he had nothing.  His wife, daughter, and father were there but he felt anger.  Sometimes anger is the best motivator a man can have.

We go to Wrestlemania 32 when he got his moment to walk out of Wrestlemania as the WWE Champion.  He says he won fair and square.  He has defended it. Any time Seth Rollins has left him laying, Seth has attacked him from behind because Seth is afraid of Roman Reigns.  He is better than Seth.  He will not feel fulfilled as champion until he beats Seth.  Roman says he has waited for this for a long time.  It is a big fight feel.  They will be in Vegas and there will be no more running.  Seth will find out why he is THE GUY.  He expects a better Seth Rollins.  After Money in the Bank, he will be THE GUY.

We go to commercial.

Next week on RAW, we’ll see The Ambrose Asylum with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins as guests. The Shield will be in the ring together.

AJ Styles makes his way to the ring.

AJ says he is here to set the record straight.  He is tired of Roman calling him a liar.  It is not just him.  He has heard it everywhere, even on social media.  Some think his friendship with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson is some plan to get him the WWE Title.  That is not true.  We see tweets that suggest they are.

AJ asks if this is the NEW ERA of WWE.  He says this is not new to AJ Styles.  He has headlined the Tokyo Dome in front of 60,000 people.  He has been a champion everywhere.  If you are new to him, he has proven himself everywhere.

Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way not your stage or my stage, but THE Stage.  Reigns makes his way to the ring.

Roman says that AJ has headlined all over the world and won championship after championship after championship.  That does not matter unless you are winning THE Championship.  Roman and AJ are in the main event of Extreme Rules.  Roman says AJ is Phenomenal at lying.  Roman says he will be in The Usos corner tonight and wants to know if AJ will be in Gallows and Anderson’s corner.

AJ says he will be in their corner and he will be wherever Roman is until he wins the title.  AJ says that Roman is THE GUY that AJ is going to beat at Extreme Rules.

Roman asks AJ if he is going to outwrestle him.  This is the big fight.  If he wants to put AJ through a table, he can.  If he wants to send AJ through the barricade, he can.  if he wants to beat AJ within an inch of his life with a chair, he can.  It means he will beat AJ at Extreme Rules.  He knows AJ cannot win on his own so Anderson and Gallows will be out there.  The Usos will be there too.  We will see that the Bloodline is stronger than the Club.

AJ says he will use a chair on Roman’s head on Sunday.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson come to the ring but the Usos make their way into the ring with Roman and AJ.  Roman punches AJ.

Gallows with an Irish whip and Jimmy with an elbow and a corkscrew splash onto Gallows for a near fall. Gallows goes over the top rope when Jimmy ducks and then Jimmy with a splash off the ring steps.

Jimmy is distracted by Styles and Gallows with a punch. Reigns and Styles have some words as we go to commercial.

We are back and Jimmy with a chop to Anderson but Anderson with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Gallows tags in and he punches Jimmy but Jimmy blocks the Kane-esque uppercut. Jimmy misses a kick and Anderson tags in. Anderson is back dropped over the top rope to the floor. Jey tags in and hits a plancha onto Anderson and Gallows and he punches both men. After a commercial, WWE World Heayweight champion Roman Reigns came to the ring.  The crowd was pretty merciless.  He said he’s not a good guy, he’s not a bad guy, he’s the guy.  He said AJ Styles is a tough guy, a great technical wrestler and a world traveled veteran.  He said that all these things make his phenomenal.  He said that Styles is going to try and out wrestle him but at Payback, it’s not going to work because Roman is bringing the big fight.  He said he’s going to bring the big guns and the era of The Roman Empire is here to stay.  The crowd was mocking him when AJ Styles’ theme music hit and Styles made his way to the ring.

Styles said Roman has power and is aggressive, so Styles is going to have to have the match of his life to defeat Roman.  But, he said having the match of his life is what he does.  It’s why WWE came calling and it’s going to make him champion.  The crowd chanted, “Yes!”  Roman said he felt everything Styles said because he had the match of his life at Wrestlemania when he beat Triple H.  London did not agree.  Roman said the entire world likes AJ and he digs that but the world isn’t going to like when he beats AJ.  Roman said they will respect him.  He’d rather be respected with the championship instead of being liked without it.  Styles said he’d rather be liked and respected as the champion.  Styles’ music hit and he headed out.

As Reigns watched Styles leave, Gallows and Anderson hit the ring from the crowd and laid out Reigns.  Styles had a serious look on his face and it wasn’t clear he approved.

When they returned from commercial, they replayed the incident.  Roman was walking in the back.  He got his ass kicked and the crowd still booed him.  Roman was about to be interviewed about what happened when Styles walked in and said, “I didn’t know that was going to happen.  I swear to God.”  Roman said he knows the history and last week, they jumped his cousins and now tonight, it’s him.  He asked AJ to change his story.  Styles said they were his boys but he doesn’t need his friends to beat Roman for the belt.  Roman told him to bring all his friends.  “One vs. All.”
