We go to the ring and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle is out with a bunch of security, who are on the outside of the ring. Angle starts talking about tonight’s “Face to Face to Face to Face” before introducing WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar first. Lesnar marches out with Paul Heyman, who does the grand introduction for his client. Heyman says WWE and their RAW GM have conspired to hold this segment tonight to try and get one more rating out of The Beast before SummerSlam. Heyman says the Fatal 4 Way on Sunday is a prison fight. Heyman isn’t worried about the security at ringside. He says Lesnar’s bad mood is justified. He says WWE is conspiring against Lesnar because Lesnar has decided to listen to other things outside of WWE, a reference to his potential UFC return it appears. Heyman talks about how Lesnar can lose the title without getting pinned on Sunday and says he’s a fan, and as a fan – that sucks. Heyman goes on and mentions each of Lesnar’s opponents, and gives them props but puts over Lesnar above them.

Heyman goes on and says he never makes predictions, he just delivers spoilers. One of two things happen on Sunday – the conspiracy is successful and WWE rips the title off Lesnar, Lesnar and Heyman leave WWE. And if that is the case, Heyman assures us that we might as well lock The Beast up in a cage. Hint, hint. Then there’s scenario 2 – Lesnar wins the match and proves to the entire world what Heyman has known the whole time, that 15 years of him flapping his gums has just been underselling Lesnar’s greatness. Heyman says that’s his case for us to subscribe to the WWE Network and watch SummerSlam on Sunday. The music hits next and out comes Samoa Joe.

Joe hits the ring and takes a mic, reminding Lesnar that he doesn’t fear him. Lesnar smirks. Joe says he’s coming for the title at SummerSlam but he’s coming to rip it out of Heyman’s hands after he puts Lesnar to sleep. The music interrupts and out comes Braun Strowman now. Braun declares that he’s always the last man standing, in case we didn’t know. Braun says to ask Roman Reigns. Joe refreshes Braun’s memory and reminds him how he won last week’s match. Joe says Braun is barely a man that stood up while Joe put Reigns down, not a last man standing. The music interrupts again and out comes Reigns to a mixed reaction.

Reigns marches to the ring and immediately spears Joe. Braun comes from behind and scoops Reigns for a big powerslam. Braun kicks Reigns under the bottom rope to the floor. Braun slowly turns around and stares at Lesnar. They look to go at it but security rushes the ring and separates them in opposite corners. Lesnar breaks free but he’s pulled right back to the corner. Braun gets free but they pull him back as well. Lesnar kicks a security guard away and tangles with the others. Lesnar and Braun start taking out security now. Angle looks concerned. Braun and Lesnar face off with no security now. The RAW locker room runs down and separates them as they start going at it again. Braun and Lesnar yell at each other while Superstars hold them back. Reigns and Joe are still out of the ring. Lesnar breaks free and leaps onto Braun and a bunch of Superstars. The brawl continues but they’re quickly pulled apart again. The final RAW before SummerSlam goes off the air with the locker room holding Lesnar and Braun back from each other.

We go right to the ring as JoJo introduces RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. He comes out to a pop as the “you suck” chants start up.

Angle welcomes us to RAW. He talks about the personal problem he’s been dealing with over the past few months, which was revealed last week when he introduces his “long lost son” Jason Jordan, the newest member of the RAW roster. Angle says he was nervous at first but this has been exciting. Angle says he’s been spending time with his son over the past week and Jordan will have his first RAW match tonight. Angle says he’s given Jordan the opportunity but it’s up to him to make it happen.

Angle also talks about how Braun Strowman interrupted last week’s match to determine the SummerSlam opponent for WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Angle says he has decided that Lesnar will face… the music interrupts Angle and out comes Strowman marching to the ring. Braun says the next words out of Angle’s mouth better be his name or else. Braun says he won his match at Great Balls of Fire, unlike Samoa Joe or Roman Reigns. Braun says he does not fear Lesnar, Lesnar fears Braun. Joe says fortunately for Braun, they haven’t crossed paths much since Joe arrived. Joe introduces himself to Braun, as the man who tamed The Beast and came within seconds of putting him to sleep. Joe says he is the man that does not fear Lesnar. And he definitely does not fear Braun.

Joe says the only reason he’s not knocking Braun’s teeth out for what he did last week is because he just stopped Reigns from losing to him for the third straight time. Joe tells Angle that we should let Braun and Roman handle their business at SummerSlam but Angle needs to give The Beast to Joe. Reigns’ music hits next and out he comes. Reigns says Joe hasn’t done anything around here, neither has Braun. Reigns says in 5 years he’s been a Tag Team Champion, a United States Champion and a three-time WWE Heavyweight Champion. Reigns says he’s won the Royal Rumble, been a part of 5 WrestleMania and 3 of those he main evented. The last one he retired The Undertaker. Reigns asks what Joe and Braun have done here. He’ll wait… that’s what he thought, they haven’t done anything yet. Reigns says now let’s show the world what he’s about to. Angle gets in between everyone. He says they all make valid points, that’s why he’s changed his mind again. Angle announces Joe vs. Reigns vs. Braun vs. Lesnar for a Fatal 4 Way at SummerSlam. Oh it’s true, it’s damn true.

Angle’s music hits and he goes to leave but Joe stops him. Joe isn’t happy. Angle says we’re done here. Joe says he’s the only man who should get a shot. Braun doesn’t care how many people are involved, all he cares about is piling bodies. Reigns tells Braun to shut up and decks him. Braun grabs them both but Joe and Reigns double team him out of the ring. The assault continues until Braun gets knocked over the barrier. Joe with a cheap shot to Reigns as they go at it now. Joe brings it into the ring. Braun ends up coming in and manhandling Reigns, tossing him. Braun goes for Joe but security hits the ring. Braun destroys them all and tosses one guy high in the air, causing him to hit the floor hard. Joe goes for Braun and applies the Coquina Clutch. The locker room empties out but they can’t get Joe to break the hold. Reigns spears Braun and Joe and a few Superstars who were in the way. SummerSlam will serve as a day of reckoning when Brock Lesnar puts his Universal Championship on the line against Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman in a Fatal 4-Way Match to determine once-and-for-all who has the right to possess Raw’s most prestigious title.

The completely unpredictable contest was added to The Biggest Event of the Summer by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, who saw the multi-man match as the only solution to a very complicated Universal Title picture.

Prior to the Universal Title Match between Lesnar and Samoa Joe at WWE Great Balls of Fire, Reigns announced his intentions to challenge the winner at SummerSlam. It seemed like a reasonable demand after The Big Dog overcame The Undertaker at WrestleMania to claim WWE as “his yard.”

However, Reigns went on to lose a brutal Ambulance Match to his longstanding adversary Braun Strowman at WWE Great Balls of Fire before unleashing a ruthless post-match assault, backing the ambulance containing Strowman into a parked truck at break-neck speed in an assault that The Monster Among Men barely – and miraculously — walked away from. The harrowing incident seemingly took Strowman out of the equation, but Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman still wondered how The Big Dog’s challenge should stand after losing his match.

That question was further compounded by the fact that Samoa Joe took The Conqueror to the absolute limit in their July 9 pay-per-view showdown, leaving little doubt that he had a legitimate claim to a rematch against The Beast at WWE’s biggest pay-per-view of the summer.

It was in this turbulent atmosphere that Reigns battled Joe on Raw to determine who would challenge the Universal Champion. Before a winner could be decided, however, Strowman suddenly returned to Raw and laid waste to both grapplers!

After the three competitors stepped into the squared circle the following week to make their case to stand toe-to-toe with The Beast, Angle decided that all three Superstars would get their opportunity.

Will one of them accomplish the monumental challenge of taking the title away from “the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Champion?” Find out when SummerSlam returns to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Sunday, Aug. 20, at 8 ET/5 PT, steaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.

Back from the break and out comes RAW General Manager Kurt Angle to a pop as the “you suck!” chants start up.

Angle says Great Balls of Fire was a huge success and he can’t wait until next year’s event but like they usually do in WWE, things got out of hand. He says Braun Strowman refused treatment after the Ambulance Match fallout and he’s not sure when Braun will be back but the show must go on. Angle introduces the WWE Universal Champion and out comes Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman to another pop.

We see stills from Lesnar’s win over Samoa Joe last night. Angle mentions Lesnar beating him for the WWE Title at WrestleMania years ago, admitting Lesnar probably took a few years off his career in that match. Angle is impressed at how Lesnar keeps getting better. He thought Joe would take the title from Lesnar but he was wrong. Angle congratulates Lesnar on the win. Heyman introduces the two. Angle says he thought Heyman and Lesnar would be interested in Angle’s ideas on who would challenge Lesnar for the title at SummerSlam. Heyman and Lesnar aren’t interested and they go to leave but the music interrupts and out comes Roman Reigns.

Reigns hits the ring. Angle informs Heyman that they aren’t done with this conversation. Angle brings up Reigns’ actions from last night, saying he went too far. Reigns asks if he’s kidding, bringing up how Angle, Heyman and Lesnar were a part of the crazy Attitude Era. Angle says that was then and this was now. Reigns says Angle should thank him because he didn’t know how to handle Braun and Brock is never around to handle him. Lesnar smiles and stares at Reigns. Angle is in between them. Reigns says he did Angle a favor and maybe he owes Reigns one – a match against Lesnar at SummerSlam. Heyman likes the idea. Lesnar takes the mic and says Reigns must be kidding. Lesnar says Reigns doesn’t deserve shit. Lesnar says right now is as close as Reigns will get to the title. Lesnar says again that Reigns doesn’t deserve it. The music hits and out comes Samoa Joe.

Lesnar looks a bit surprised as Joe marches to the ring. Joe says they’re all living in a fantasy land but he’s going to drag them back down to reality. Lesnar says the reality is that he kicked Joe’s ass last night. Joe says not to worry because sooner or later he will put Lesnar to sleep. Joe says Lesnar didn’t beat him, he just escaped him, and Reigns has never beaten him. Heyman gets fired up and says Joe will never see Lesnar in a title match again. Things get heated and Angle gets in between Joe and Lesnar. Joe says Heyman knows deep down that Joe has Lesnar’s number. Joe threatens Lesnar. Reigns disses Joe for losing last night. Joe says Reigns is real mouthy for a guy who got beat by Braun Strowman last night. Reigns says he’s h ere but Braun isn’t. Angle makes Joe vs. Reigns for next week with the winner facing Lesnar at SummerSlam. If they come to blows tonight, Angle nixes the match. Angle tells them to rest up and look forward to SummerSlam. The tension continues as Lesnar looks on. Joe leaves while Angle’s music plays.

Braun Strowman’s demands for tougher competition have been answered.

The Monster Among Men will square off against three-time WWE Champion Roman Reigns at WWE Fastlane 2017, Raw General Manager Mick Foley announced. Given the two Superstars’ costly interactions of late, you can bet Reigns and Strowman will bring plenty of bad intentions and fire power to their showdown.

First, Strowman interfered during Reigns’ challenge of WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble. Eyeing an opportunity to move into title contention, the juggernaut smashed Reigns through a table with a running powerslam, rendering him easy pickings for Owens. The very next night on Raw, as Strowman took his turn challenging the WWE Universal Champion, Reigns retaliated, knocking Strowman to the floor and tackling him with a brutal Spear.

It’s not often that the 6-foot-3, 265-pound Big Dog finds himself at a severe size disadvantage, but such is the case for any competitor who takes on the barrel-chested Strowman. At 6-foot-8 and nearly 300 pounds, The Monster Among Men more than lives up to his moniker, demolishing most opponents with the ease of someone stepping on a bug.

Yet, Reigns is far from an ordinary opponent; his Superman Punch collapses giants (just not Strowman, yet), and he has proven in the past his ability to weather the storm en route to charting big victories.

At WWE Fastlane, will Strowman pulverize Reigns, as he’s done so many Superstars before him, or will The Big Dig serve as a long-overdue gut check? Watch this heavyweight collision when Raw hosts its next brand-exclusive pay-per-view, WWE Fastlane, live on the award-winning WWE Network Sunday, March 5, at 8 ET/5 PT.
